Classes
Recreational Classes
There are 4 ten week sessions and 1 eight/nine week session within each calendar year.
The recreational classes are geared towards the individual who wants to improve their trampoline skills while having fun exercising. Each person progresses at their own pace through an individual lesson plan book. There are 10 spaces in a class, and all classes are grouped by age.
We are trying out something new in our Saturday morning classes. We have added agility circuit training as well as the trampoline training. This places a higher emphasis on the strengthening of the athlete’s attention span specifically targeting their ability of mental endurance and focus. The feedback we have received so far is very positive saying that the athletes feel challenged and they notice their own increasing skill level. These classes currently run at 9:00 AM and 10:00 AM on Saturday. If there is sufficient interest we will add a 3rd class at 11:00 AM. Please call to book your child in for a trial class and see how it works.

Competitive Classes
Interclub (Pre-competitive)
Interclub classes are an entry level to our competitive classes. The athletes will participate in informal competitions that are held in trampoline clubs around Ontario. Participation in the competitions is completely voluntary. An Interclub competition consists of 2 routines, a compulsory and an optional. Each routine consists of 10 skills that are performed in succession. The skills for the compulsory routine are specified based on the level being competed. The optional routine is developed between the coach and the athlete. The optional routine is restricted to its degree of difficulty based on the level being competed. The participants will receive awards for placement at the competition. These rankings are not usually published or tracked. There is a fee for each competition entered. These fees are used by the host club for equipment, travel funds, etc.
Please call or email jeff@verticalzone.ca, to book a try-out today! Some experience usually required, but motivation and drive to learn is just as important. We are always looking for new pre-competitive athletes
Provincial Competitive Classes
These classes prepare the athlete for formal competitions coordinated by Gymnastics Ontario. Classes vary in length, and the athletes' training hours will be recommended. There are 4 competitions throughout the season (Sep. - Jun.). The first 3 are qualifiers and the last is the provincial championships. The results of the qualifiers are tracked and determine if an athlete qualified to compete at championships. All competitions are held in Ontario and usually span over a weekend. Within the provincial stream there are 4 levels; 1, 2, 3 and 4. Level 1 is the entry level, where level 4 is pre-national. Each level has different qualification requirements and restrictions. Each of these levels is further broken down into age groups and genders. Once the athlete achieves a certain proficiency in a level, they will be moved up. The provincial level competitive classes require a greater time and travel commitment than the Interclub group.
